Searching for something better?

Searching for your best life, a purposeful life?

Jesus came to give us a full life. In John 10:10 he tells us, "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Why were we created? We are made to glorify God and love one another.
In Romans 15:5-7 We learn about our relationship with God and how we should accept others.
"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God."

Believing

What better family is there than an eternal family.  Jesus promises that we can become children of God if we believe.
John 1:12-13

12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

Becoming a Christian

Salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who put their trust in Christ as Savior (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:16). Those trusting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized (Romans 10:9, Acts 2:38).

Dedicated to Christ

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."--Romans 6:4

The church is the Body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ (Ephesians 4:1-16).

As we live our new life, we are called to try to emulate Jesus as we share our faith with others. Will we do this perfectly? No, but we have the blood of Christ and his never-ending grace that covers us in our daily lives.

In our lives, we are promised the fruit of the spirit. "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Galatians 5:22-23
